About the Stories

There are seven stories on the CD, four written by Christine De Luca: Spooks i da nicht, Da nyuggel o Hulmawatter, Da caddy lamb and Rover tae da rescue.

Christine was born in Bressay, brought up in Walls but lives in Edinburgh. See if you can tell where the readers come from by their accents!

John Cumming

There are three stories by John Cumming as well: Lazarus, Kyunnen and Sea life.

John was born and brought up in Burra, but lives in Orkney. You can read John’s stories (out loud!) from the CD booklet too. If you’re unsure of a word, ask granny or grandad to help you. They’ll know the words.
